Training for Allied Health Professionals

The One Minute Asthma training provides effective, practical, low-cost, hands-on training for health professionals in the basics of asthma and the devices used to treat it. It promotes a consistent approach to asthma care that will lead to more efficient use of resources by professionals and patients. This peer-based distance-learning program is based on three principles:

  • Every professional who interacts with a patient should be competent to provide education.
  • Patient education should take place at every visit for asthma.
  • Most education will be delivered in one to five minute bites.
